In the current times of virtual learning, we know students are looking for a reason to get out of the house and parents are looking to keep the kids learning.
We are offering in-person 1 hour educational farm learning geared specifically to students 6th-12th grade (and their parent or adult chaperone).
How is this experience different then our usual farm tour? This will be structured with in-depth discussion and learning around the history of alpacas, anatomy, general care, pregnancy/birth, as well as fiber processing and livestock guardian dogs. We will touch on solar power and sustainable farming practices as well. Students will interact with the animals.
Students will leave with a handout describing what they learn and will be encouraged to take pictures to document and share their experience and learning with their teachers.
Student will receive a small GKR sticker for their phone, laptop, or Hydro Flask.
